One of the best things about being a digital sculptor is getting to know other artists on a deeper level. So let me share a little about myself.

HI, I'M SHANE

I knew from a young age that I had artistic talent, but it wasn’t until college that I decided to devote myself to digital art and turn my passion into my life’s work.

Now, after working for Disney for ten years, I am lucky enough to teach workshops at big studios that I only dreamed of working for, like Pixar, Funko, and Lego. But the best part is sharing that knowledge with people just like you.

MY STORY

As a kid, I spent most of my days lost in my imagination. This often led to drawings of wild creatures and beautiful dragons that I would paint on the walls of my bedroom.

My drawing was my outlet, and my artistic nature helped me focus on developing my skills and learning new artistic mediums like airbrushing which eventually led to digital sculpting.

When I was asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, I decided to pursue digital arts and have never looked back. I look forward to sharing my passion with you and inspiring your creativity to run wild.

WHY DO I TEACH?

My artistic ability is what helped me to dig deep and discover who I am inside. I can’t imagine where I would be without digital sculpting.

As I looked at the people in my life struggling to find themselves, I realized that my creativity could inspire others to look inside and discover what makes them truly happy too.

Everyone has an artist inside. Some of us just need a little more help bringing that inner artist to life. To me, watching others create something they never thought possible is the best feeling in the world.

There is only one you, and art is a great way to uncover and express who you really want to be deep down.

I believe my characters not only make the world a better place, but they also shape the people who experience them in beautiful ways. I love that I am able to take it a step further and help other artists find satisfaction in creating their own characters.
